Join us for our annual Movie Nights in Sundance Square Plaza.
Movies are every Thursday this summer starting June 7 through July 14. Movies begin at 7:30 p.m.
Tonight our feature film is The Great Escape (1963) starring Steve McQueen, James Gardner, Richard Attenboro, James Donald and Charles Bronson. Based on a true story, a group of allied escape artist-type prisoners-of-war (POWs) are all put in an ‘escape proof’ camp. Their leader decides to try to take out several hundred all at once. The first half of the film is played for comedy as the prisoners mostly outwit their jailers to dig the escape tunnel. The second half is high adventure as they use boats and trains and planes to get out of occupied Europe.
Upcoming films include:
June 14 – American Graffiti
June 21 – Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
June 28 – You’ve Got Mail
July 5 – Bottle Shock
July 12 – Peter Rabbit (new release)
