Sundance Square Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

Event Details

Come join us in the Sundance Square Plaza as we welcome the start of the holiday season with a day of merriment for the whole family.  You’ll find Santa Claus atop his bright red sleigh in our colorful Nutcracker-themed photo set starting at 11 a.m. ready to greet kiddos of all ages.  Photos are a $10 cash donation to Fort Worth Sister Cities International Scholarship Fund or you can capture the moment with your own camera as well.  Around 4 p.m.,watch for Toy Soldier stilt walkers, some beloved cast members of The Nutcracker ballet, and you’ll be treated to a special holiday performance by the talented Timber Creek High School Show Choir at 6 p.m.  The fun culminates at 6:30 p.m. with the anticipated countdown to light the 57′ Blue Spruce Christmas tree with a little help from Santa, himself!  Don’t miss it!

Following the tree lighting, the choir will perform once again and Santa is back for photos and visits until 9:30 p.m.  The XTO Energy Parade of Lights will follow on Sunday, November 20 at 6 p.m.  For a complete schedule of Santa’s days and hours, go to our Photos with Santa in Sundance Square event page.
