Discover a little-known side of a famous Western artist in “Another Frontier:  Frederic Remington’s East,” a special exhibit at the Sid Richardson Museum.  This must-see collection features stunning landscape paintings of Remington’s homeland in the North Country, as well as letters, photos and diary entries from the Frederic Remington Art Museum in Odgensburg, New York.  Also on display are dynamic paintings of the 19th-century American West by Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell from the permanent collection of Sid W. Richardson.   The museum is free and wheelchair-accessible, and docent tours are offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 2 pm.  It also features one of the best Museum Stores around, with unique Western items, prints, bronzes, jewelry, books, children’s toys, prints on canvas both framed and unframed, and works by local artisans.
